Screen Printing 101 Workshop (w/ an intersectional feminist focus)

November 17, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

$50 – $60

Join us as we get a comprehensive, hands-on, fun workshop in screen printing!

In addition to learning absolutely everything you’d need to know to set up your own screen printing station, you’ll get to pull prints on postcards that will be mailed out to Feminist Oasis members in our soon-to-be-created Action Plans!

Participants will learn how to set up screens, learn about the tools necessary to make prints, mix inks, and pull prints. You’ll learn the history, lingo, and execution of screen printing — and discuss how this medium enables the spread of information for movements like intersectional feminism!

Folks are encouraged to bring a variety of flat surface materials to play with and print on! Suggested items include:

      • Patches
      • Totes
      • Stickers
      • Paper / postcards
      • Posters

This workshop will be led by artist Sarah McCullough at Chase’s Garage in York, ME. Please wear clothes that you’re okay with getting a little messy in!

Tickets are available here. Members: Be sure to use your member code while registering to receive a discount on your ticket price!
