The Official Feminist Oasis Team
Crystal Paradis
Founder
Crystal Paradis founded Feminist Oasis in 2018. Before that, she worked as a community organizer for the Democrats during the 2016 election. Before that, she worked in digital marketing and communications, where she learned that no matter what you think your have to do for a paycheck, it is not worth it if it conflicts with your values.
She has been organizing community initiatives, events and meetups for nearly twenty years. Some highlights have included TEDxPortsmouth (formerly TEDxPiscatauquaRiver), Portsmouth PRIDE, The Let’s Talk series, Portsmouth Breakfast Club and college poetry readings. Her volunteer work has ranged from protesting with Planned Parenthood to cleaning graffiti off neighborhood bus stops in Honolulu.
The most important thing you need to know about her to start a conversation is that she really loves puppies.
